In a quest to do something “together” and learn a new skill, my mother and I both purchased the same book. ‘Bread: the breads of the world and how to bake them at home.’ It has 100 recipes in it and we are going to make 2 to 3 of them every month from now until we move in August 2022. Neither of us are confident free form bread makers and we want to improve that skill set. I love traditional cooking. It makes me feel like all the ancient spirits are applauding. So, when my mother suggested this extensive and loving exercise of grit, I agreed instantly.
Our very first recipe was for a Granary Cob loaf from England. Our experiences and loaves turned out completely different. I intend to post the recipes as well.
